Rattlesnake Avoidance Training

We offer rattlesnake avoidance training here at Raney Ranch. This training is a way for your dog to satisfy his or her curiosity with snakes while in a safe and controlled environment. We teach your dog that the scent, sight and sound of a rattlesnake is not a good thing.

This training is not just for hunting dogs, but any dog that may come in contact with rattlesnakes while outdoors. We hear stories of rattlesnake encounters in the hunting fields, city parks, dog parks and even peoples own backyards!

Rattlesnake avoidance training does not guarantee that your dog wont get bit. As dogs are running through fields and brush, they may come in contact with a snake before they realize its there. Some dogs are more head strong than others, and the curiosity can get the best of them. Most clients bring their dog back every year for follow up training.
